Persinger went on to lose 8-2 against Dan Schally (Madison, WI). Persinger responded with a 10-1 win over Todd Ussatis (Bismarck, ND). Persinger won 8-4 against Darrick Kizlyk (Denver, CO), then won 5-4 against Hunter Clawson (Duluth, MN). Persinger went on to lose 8-7 against Fred Maxie (Seattle, WA) in their final qualifying round match.
