Hughes finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hughes lost 7-5 to Stoner, then responded with a 6-4 win over Matthew Hall (Barrie, ON). Hughes won 8-3 against Emerson Steffler (Toronto, ON), then won 6-5 against Ryan Fayaz (Thornhill, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
