Liam Marin (Saint John, NB) won 6-5 over Jack Smeltzer-McCausland (Fredericton, NB) in the Final of the Maritime Junior Men's Bonspiel, held October 14 - 16, 2016 in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Marin finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Marin defeated Cody Lewis (Moncton, NB) 7-3, then won 5-3 against Graeme Weagle (Chester, NS) and 7-6 against Ryan Abraham (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week of the event schedule, Marin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Marin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
