Steve Irwin (Brandon, MB) run at the 2016 Westman Super League came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-5 loss to Jerry Chudley (Brandon, MB). of the 2016 Westman Super League in Brandon, Manitoba;
 
Irwin finished 9-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Irwin defeated Chudley 7-3, then went on to lose 6-4 against Kelly Marnoch (Carberry, MB). Irwin responded with a 3-2 win over Terry McNamee (Brandon, MB). Irwin won 8-3 against Duane Lang (Brandon, MB), then won 4-2 against Chase Dusessoy (Brandon, MB) and 5-4 against Butch Mouck (Minnedosa, MB). Irwin won 7-2 against Shane McGranahan (Brandon, MB), then won 4-3 against Shawn Taylor (Brandon, MB) and 9-8 against Tyler Waterhouse (Carberry, MB). Irwin went on to lose 8-7 against Curtis McCannell (Pilot Mound , MB). Irwin responded with a 6-4 win over Kelly McMechan (Deloraine, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Westman Super League, Irwin take home 7.383 world rankings points along with the $3,250CDN prize, moving up 20 spots the World Ranking Standings into 126th place overall with 43.335 total points. Irwin ranks 112th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 27.531 points earned so far this season.
