Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) finished 6-2 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morozumi defeated
Abdulrahman Nabil (Doha, QA) 19-1, then won 10-7 against Hong Kong's Jason Chang and 6-1 against Ian Palangio (Sydney, AUS). Morozumi went on to lose 7-4 against Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN). Morozumi responded with a 6-5 win over SooHyuk Kim (Gangwon, KOR). Morozumi won 13-3 against Viktor Kim (Almaty, KAZ), then won 7-5 against Peter De Boer (Naseby, NZ). Morozumi went on to lose 9-5 against Randie Shen (Taipei, TPE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships Championship title, Morozumi earned 19.950 world rankings points. For week 13 of the event schedule, Morozumi did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Morozumi ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
