In their opening game, Shen defeated Peter De Boer (Naseby, NZ) 8-3, then went on to lose 8-2 against SooHyuk Kim (Gangwon, KOR). Shen responded with a 9-5 win over Viktor Kim (Almaty, KAZ). Shen won 7-3 against Ian Palangio (Sydney, AUS), then won 21-0 against Abdulrahman Nabil (Doha, QA). Shen went on to lose 6-4 against Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN). Shen responded with a 8-3 win over Hong Kong's Jason Chang. Shen won 9-5 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Shen earned 8.550 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships. For week 13 of the event schedule, Shen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Shen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
