Morissette finished 2-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morissette lost 4-2 to Martin Ferland (Quebec, QC), then responded with a 5-2 win over Jesse Mullen (Kenogami, QC). Morissette won 6-1 against Mathieu Beaufort (Sorel-Tracy, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
