Janais DeJong (Edmonton, AB) won 7-1 over Selena Sturmay (Airdrie, AB) in the Final of the AJCT Women's Players' Championship, held March 24 - 26, 2017 in Lacombe, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, DeJong won 4-1 over Ashton Simard (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2017 AJCT Women's Players' Championship in Lacombe, Alberta;
 
DeJong finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, DeJong defeated Simard 7-5, then went on to lose 11-4 against Jessica Wytrychowski (Calgary, AB). DeJong responded with a 5-4 win over Simard. DeJong won 6-5 against Ryleigh Bakker (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
