Jennifer Jones/Brent Laing (Horseshoe Valley, ON) qualified for the 2016 Wall Grain Mixed Doubles Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-5 against Emma Miskew/Tyrel Griffith (Ottawa, ON).
 
Jones/Laing finished 3-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones/Laing lost 7-4 to Cory Christensen/John Shuster (Duluth, MN), droppimg another game, 8-7 to Saskatchewan's Sherry Just/Ryan Deis where Jones/Laing responded with a 9-3 win over British Columbia's Brenna Baker/Chris Medford. Jones/Laing won 6-5 against Nancy Martin/Catlin Schneider (Regina, SK), then won 8-2 against Laura Walker/Geoff Walker (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
