Martin/Schneider finished 4-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martin/Schneider defeated British Columbia's Brenna Baker/Chris Medford 7-2, then won 10-2 against Cory Christensen/John Shuster (Duluth, MN) and 9-4 against Laura Walker/Geoff Walker (Edmonton, AB). Martin/Schneider went on to lose 6-5 against Jennifer Jones/Brent Laing (Horseshoe Valley, ON). Martin/Schneider responded with a 8-5 win over Saskatchewan's Sherry Just/Ryan Deis in their final qualifying round match.
