Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) finished 6-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ulsrud defeated Aku Kauste (Helsinki, FIN) 10-3, then went on to lose 8-7 against Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO). Ulsrud responded with a 6-4 win over Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN). Ulsrud won 7-5 against Alexey Timofeev (Moscow, RUS), then won 9-1 against Sebastian Wunderer (Kitzbuhel, AUT). Ulsrud went on to lose 7-6 against Andy Kapp (Hamburg, GER). Ulsrud responded with a 9-6 win over Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA). Ulsrud won 7-3 against Peter De Cruz (Geneva, SUI). Ulsrud went on to lose 6-3 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships, Ulsrud take home 44.627 world rankings points, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 10th place overall with 400.470 total points. Ulsrud ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 211.794 points earned so far this season.
