Hollie Nicol (Toronto, ON) finished 2-2 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nicol lost 9-3 to Kelly Cochrane (Toronto, ON), then responded with a 9-2 win over Stephanie LeDrew (Sarnia, ON). Nicol won 8-3 against Brenda Holloway (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Nicol went on to lose 7-1 against Mallory Kean (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Nicol earned 1.169 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 18 of the event schedule, Nicol did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Nicol ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
