Froud won 7-3 against Megan Balsdon (Mississauga, ON), then won 9-5 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) and 7-4 against Julie Hastings (Toronto, ON). Froud went on to lose 12-3 against Heather Heggestad (Thornhill, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
