Howard won 8-6 against Mark Bice (Sarnia, ON), then won 7-5 against Scott Bailey (Dundas, ON). Howard went on to lose 9-8 against Mike Harris (Toronton, ON). Howard lost 6-5 to Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON). Howard lost 8-6 to John Epping (Toronto, ON) where Howard responded with a 9-2 win over Codey Maus (London, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Ontario Tankard Championship title, Howard earned 30.576 world rankings points, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 14th place overall with 402.031 total points. Howard ranks 16th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 178.349 points earned so far this season.
