In their opening game, Gushulak lost 5-4 to Kim Slattery (Vernon, BC), then responded with a 11-5 win over Lindsay Hudyma (Vancouver, BC). Gushulak went on to lose 8-5 against Kesa Van Osch (Nanaimo, BC). Gushulak responded with a 8-5 win over Amanda Russett (Kamloops, BC). Gushulak won 8-6 against Sarah Wark (Chilliwack, BC). Gushulak went on to lose 4-3 against Hudyma in their final qualifying round match.

Gushulak earned 0.956 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 16 of the event schedule, Gushulak did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gushulak ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
