In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Jessica Wytrychowski (Calgary, AB) 8-4, then won 9-4 against Ashton Simard (Edmonton, AB) and 9-4 against Abby Marks (Edmonton, AB). Sturmay went on to lose 6-5 against Kristen Streifel (Edmonton, AB). Sturmay responded with a 8-2 win over McKenna Jones (Medicine Hat, AB). Sturmay went on to lose 8-4 against Janais DeJong (Leduc, AB). Sturmay lost 5-4 to Kayla Skrlik (Falher, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
