Colton Goller (Calgary, AB) won 7-4 over Evan van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Alberta Junior Men's Provincials, held January 4 - 8, 2017 in Edmonton, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Goller won 6-5 over Kyler Kleibrink (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2017 Alberta Junior Men's Provincials in Edmonton, Alberta;
 
Goller finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Goller lost 8-7 to Kleibrink, then responded with a 8-6 win over Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB). Goller won 9-4 against Lucas Bartz (Ellerslie, AB), then won 9-2 against Kaleb Yost (Manning, AB) and 9-7 against Cole Adams (Calgary, AB). Goller went on to lose 4-3 against van Amsterdam. Goller responded with a 8-4 win over Lane Knievel (Manning, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
