Koe went on to lose 5-4 against John Morris (Vernon, BC). Koe responded with a 8-5 win over Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS). Koe went on to lose 6-4 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB). Koe responded with a 8-7 win over Adam Casey (Regina, SK). Koe won 8-6 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT), then won 6-3 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Koe went on to lose 7-6 against Gushue. Koe responded with a 7-6 win over Mike Kennedy (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
