Bottcher responded with a 10-3 win over Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Bottcher won 6-4 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, CAN). Bottcher went on to lose 8-5 against Jean-Michel Menard (Levis, QC). Bottcher lost 6-3 to Glenn Howard (Toronto, ON). Bottcher lost 5-2 to John Morris (Vernon, BC). Bottcher lost 6-5 to Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

Bottcher earned 8.953 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 30 of the event schedule, Bottcher did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
