7-5 to Kevin Koe (Calgary, CAN), droppimg another game, 9-8 to Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) where Menard responded with a 10-6 win over Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS). Menard won 8-3 against Adam Casey (Regina, SK), then won 7-6 against Glenn Howard (Toronto, ON) and 5-4 against John Morris (Vernon, BC). Menard won 8-5 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB). Menard went on to lose 7-3 against Brad Gushue (St. Johns, NL). Menard responded with a 8-6 win over Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Menard won 9-4 against Mike Kennedy (Fredericton, NB). Menard went on to lose 5-2 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Menard earned 20.889 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
