Tyler Tardi (Langley, CAN) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Tardi finished 6-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tardi defeated Johan Nygren (Goteberg, SWE) 12-8, then went on to lose 9-5 against Ki Jeong Lee (Uiseong, KOR). Tardi responded with a 7-3 win over Zhi Yu Wang (Harbin, CHN). Tardi won 9-2 against Marco Onnis (Trentino, ITA). Tardi went on to lose 6-2 against Andrew Stopera (Blaine, USA). Tardi responded with a 8-5 win over Magnus Ramsfjell (Jar, NOR). Tardi won 8-3 against Jan Hess (Zug, SUI), then won 7-5 against Ugurcan Karagoz (Eruzurum, TUR). Tardi went on to lose 9-8 against Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Tardi earned 2.168 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Tardi did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Tardi ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
