12-8 to Tyler Tardi (Langley, CAN), droppimg another game, 6-2 to Magnus Ramsfjell (Jar, NOR). Nygren lost 10-3 to Jan Hess (Zug, SUI). Nygren lost 8-6 to Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO) where Nygren responded with a 7-5 win over Ugurcan Karagoz (Eruzurum, TUR). Nygren went on to lose 9-3 against Ki Jeong Lee (Uiseong, KOR). Nygren responded with a 8-5 win over Marco Onnis (Trentino, ITA). Nygren won 9-8 against Andrew Stopera (Blaine, USA), then won 10-8 against Zhi Yu Wang (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Nygren earned 1.445 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Nygren did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Nygren ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
