Edin won 6-4 against David Murdoch (Lockerbie, SCO), then won 10-4 against Peter De Cruz (Geneva, SUI). Edin went on to lose 7-3 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA). Edin responded with a 8-2 win over Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) in their final qualifying round match.
