Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI) finished 5-6 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paetz defeated
Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER) 7-5, then won 8-7 against Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN) and 12-4 against Lene Nielsen (Hvidovre, DEN). Paetz won 12-7 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Paetz went on to lose 8-6 against Rachel Homan (Ottawa, CAN). Paetz lost 10-7 to Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE). Paetz lost 9-4 to Anna Hasselborg (Stockholm, SWE) where Paetz responded with a 10-2 win over Diana Gaspari (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA). Paetz went on to lose 7-4 against Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO). Paetz lost 8-5 to Nina Roth (Blaine, USA). Paetz lost 9-8 to EunJung Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Paetz earned 13.383 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 32 of the event schedule, Paetz did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Paetz ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
