Sarah Wark (Chilliwack, BC) finished 3-0 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wark defeated Kelly Shimizu (Richmond, BC) 9-7, then won 9-7 against Kayte Gyles (Surrey, BC) and 10-1 against Diane Gushulak (New Wesstminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the BC Scotties - Open Event #2 Championship title, Wark earned 8.925 world rankings points, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 104th place overall with 35.237 total points. Wark ranks 109th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.202 points earned so far this season.
