Christine MacKay (Winnipeg, MB) finished 3-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacKay defeated Laura Burtnyk (Winnipeg, MB) 7-4, then won 8-2 against Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB) and 10-5 against Joelle Brown (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Manitoba Scotties - Winnipeg Regional Championship title, MacKay earned 14.625 world rankings points. For week 18 of the event schedule, MacKay did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. MacKay ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
