To advance to the championship game, Marin won 5-3 over Adam Tracy (Fredericton, NB) in the semifinals of the 2017 New Brunswick Papa John's Pizza Provincial Junior Men in Miramichi, New Brunswick;
 
Marin finished 4-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Marin defeated Dylan MacDonald (Oromocto, NB) 7-2, then won 9-3 against Layton MacCabe (Moncton, NB). Marin went on to lose 6-1 against Tracy. Marin responded with a 8-7 win over Jack Smeltzer (Fredericton, NB). Marin won 8-3 against Tracy. Marin went on to lose 4-3 against Ian Mckinley (Moncton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
