Serge Martin (Grande Prairie, AB) is set to play Delia DeJong (Grande Prairie, AB) in the Final of the Peace Tour Championship - Challenge, held January 13 - 15, 2017 in Sexsmith, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Martin won 3-2 over Donald Dumont (Girouxville, AB) in the semifinals

Martin finished 2-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martin lost 4-3 to Dumont, then responded with a 9-1 win over Janet Plante (Grande Prairie, AB). Martin won 7-3 against Marlene Maxwell (Dawson Creek, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week of the event schedule, Martin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Martin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
