Kieran Scott (Guelph, ON) lost 5-3 to Matthew Hall (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) in the Final of the Ontario Junior Men's Provincials, held January 4 - 8, 2017 in Russell, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Scott won 9-7 over Ryan Hahn (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the 2017 Ontario Junior Men's Provincials in Russell, Ontario;
 
Scott finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scott lost 5-2 to Hall, droppimg another game, 6-4 to Pascal Michaud (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) where Scott responded with a 7-5 win over Hahn. Scott won 6-4 against Charlie Richard (Brantford, ON), then won 7-1 against Jordie Lyon-Hatcher (Ottawa, ON) and 7-4 against Mac Calwell (Ottawa, ON). Scott won 7-1 against Hazen Enman (Whitby, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
