Melissa Adams (Fredericton, NB) finished 3-0 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Adams defeated Shaelyn Park (Moncton, NB) 6-4, then won 11-6 against Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB) and 6-5 against Shelly Graham (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the New Brunswick Scotties Prelims Championship title, Adams earned 6.300 world rankings points. For week 22 of the event schedule, Adams did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
