Dubberstein finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dubberstein defeated Beth Podoll (Fargo-Moorhead, ND) 10-2, then won 7-2 against Elizabeth Cousins (Medfield, MA) and 9-3 against Susan Dudt (Philadephia, PA). Dubberstein won 8-1 against Melissa Runing (Mankato, MN), then won 8-5 against Ariel Traxler (Fairbanks, AK) and 8-4 against Emily Quello (Bemidji, MN). Dubberstein won 6-3 against Bear in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the USA Junior Womens National Championship Championship title, Dubberstein earned 11.970 world rankings points.
