Thompson went on to lose 10-5 against Julie Herndier (Surrey, BC). Thompson responded with a 8-4 win over Sarah Wark (Chilliwack, BC). Thompson went on to lose 6-5 against Marla Mallett (Maple Ridge, BC). Thompson lost 8-7 to Dailene Pewarchuk (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Thompson earned 0.825 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 23 of the event schedule, Thompson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Thompson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
