Ogihara won 5-3 against Junpei Kanda (Tokyo, JPN). Ogihara went on to lose 8-7 against Kota Onodera (Hokkaido, JPN). Ogihara responded with a 8-3 win over Taisel Miura (Hokkaido, JPN). Ogihara went on to lose 7-5 against Shingo Usui (Sapporo, JPN). Ogihara responded with a 6-5 win over Yuki Sawamukai (Hokkaido, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Ogihara earned 5.130 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Japan Curling Championships, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 180th place overall with 25.091 total points. Ogihara ranks 172nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.782 points earned so far this season.
