Taisel Miura (Hokkaido, JPN) finished 3-5 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Miura lost 7-3 to Shingo Usui (Sapporo, JPN), droppimg another game, 12-2 to Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) where Miura responded with a 8-7 win over Kota Onodera (Hokkaido, JPN). Miura won 7-6 against Hiromitsu Fujinaka (Okayama, JPN). Miura went on to lose 9-5 against Shinya Abe (Sapporo, JPN). Miura lost 8-3 to Ryo Ogihara (Karuizawa, JPN) where Miura responded with a 8-5 win over Yuki Sawamukai (Hokkaido, JPN). Miura went on to lose 8-3 against Junpei Kanda (Tokyo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Miura earned 1.283 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 196 spots the World Ranking Standings into 500th place overall with 1.283 total points. Miura ranks 404th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.283 points earned so far this season.
