Hess won 11-7 against Rolf Bruggmann (Uzwil, SUI), then won 4-2 against Joachim Porret (Neuchatel, SUI) and 8-3 against Michael Brunner (Gstaad, SUI). Hess won 8-6 against Florian Meister (Zurich, SUI). Hess went on to lose 8-7 against Felix Attinger (Dubendorf, SUI). Hess responded with a 7-2 win over Dimitri Boada (Geneve, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Swiss League Curling, Hess take home 10.106 world rankings points, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 146th place overall with 37.205 total points. Hess ranks 120th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 25.597 points earned so far this season.
