Sophie Jackson (Stirling, SCO) won 5-4 over Karina Aitken (Edinburgh, SCO) in the Final of the Scottish Curling Junior Championships, held January 18 - 22, 2017 in Aberdeen, Scotland.
 
Jackson finished 6-0 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jackson defeated Beth Farmer (Kinross, SCO) 7-6, then won 14-5 against Aitken and 8-4 against Amy MacDonald (Moray, SCO). Jackson won 9-6 against Beth Dandie (Forfar, SCO), then won 12-1 against Molly Keen (Moray, SCO) and 9-4 against Lisa Davie (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Scottish Curling Junior Championships Championship title, Jackson earned 8.978 world rankings points. For week 23 of the event schedule, Jackson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jackson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
