Marcus Hagloef (Gavle, SWE) finished 2-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hagloef defeated Lars Landelius (Mjolby, SWE) 6-4, then went on to lose 5-2 against Kristian Lindstroem (Sundbyberg, SWE). Hagloef lost 5-3 to Johan Hedin (Sundbyberg, SWE) where Hagloef responded with a 6-3 win over Tobias Lundmark (Umea, SWE). Hagloef went on to lose 8-2 against Rickard Hallstroem (Jamtland, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
