Mike Kennedy (Fredericton, NB) won 7-5 over Charlie Sullivan (Saint John, NB) in the Final Kennedy advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the New Brunswick Pepsi Tankard, held February 8 - 12, 2017 in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Kennedy finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kennedy defeated Ryan Cain (Fredericton, NB) 9-4, then won 8-5 against Sullivan. Kennedy went on to lose 6-5 against Josh Barry (Fredericton, NB). Kennedy responded with a 6-4 win over Terry Odishaw (Moncton, NB). Kennedy won 8-5 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB), then won 8-4 against Jason Roach (Saint John, NB) and 6-3 against Jeremy Mallais (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the New Brunswick Pepsi Tankard Championship title, Kennedy earned 7.350 world rankings points, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 83rd place overall with 79.154 total points.
