In their opening game, Burgess defeated Al Hackner (Thunder Bay, NONT) 7-4, then went on to lose 7-4 against Dylan Johnston (Thunder Bay, NONT). Burgess lost 8-6 to Tanner Horgan (Copper Cliff, NONT). Burgess lost 8-3 to Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON) where Burgess responded with a 8-5 win over Ryan Sayer (New Liskeard, NONT). Burgess went on to lose 7-5 against Chris Glibota (Sudbury, NONT). Burgess responded with a 9-5 win over Jordan Chandler (Sudbury, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

Burgess earned 1.193 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 26 of the event schedule, Burgess did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Burgess ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
