Stuart Taylor (Glasgow, SCO) finished 2-7 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Taylor lost 4-2 to David Murdoch (Lockerbie, SCO), then responded with a 11-6 win over Chay Telfer (Glasgow, SCO). Taylor went on to lose 9-4 against Grant Hardie (Dumfries, SCO). Taylor lost 7-2 to Scott Hamilton (Glasgow, SCO) where Taylor responded with a 10-3 win over Ally Fraser (Inverness, SCO). Taylor went on to lose 7-1 against Kyle Smith (Stirling, SCO). Taylor lost 10-5 to Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO). Taylor lost 9-3 to Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO). Taylor lost 9-6 to Ross Whyte (Dumfries, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Taylor earned 2.834 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 28 of the event schedule, Taylor did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Taylor ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
