Ally Fraser (Inverness, SCO) finished 2-7 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fraser lost 6-1 to Kyle Smith (Stirling, SCO), then responded with a 10-7 win over Ross Whyte (Dumfries, SCO). Fraser went on to lose 8-4 against Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO). Fraser lost 8-6 to Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO). Fraser lost 10-3 to Stuart Taylor (Glasgow, SCO). Fraser lost 5-3 to David Murdoch (Lockerbie, SCO). Fraser lost 7-5 to Grant Hardie (Dumfries, SCO) where Fraser responded with a 11-4 win over Chay Telfer (Glasgow, SCO). Fraser went on to lose 9-0 against Scott Hamilton (Glasgow, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Fraser earned 2.834 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 28 of the event schedule, Fraser did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Fraser ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
