Robert Melville (Wayland, MA) won 5-4 over Caitlin Maroldo (Rochester, NY) in the Final of the GNCC Mixed Championship, held February 23 - 26, 2017 in Warminster, Pennsylvania. To advance to the championship game, Melville won 7-4 over Emily Anderson (Philadelphia, PA) in the semifinals
 
Melville finished 4-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Melville defeated Monica Lynn (Warminster, PA) 8-4, then won 9-4 against Michael Glessner (Philadephia, PA) and 7-2 against Christopher Gray (Warminster, PA). Melville won 9-3 against Nicole Prohaska (Plainfield, NJ). Melville went on to lose 6-4 against Melvin Shaw (Potomac, MD) in their final qualifying round match.
