Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) finished 3-0 in the 4-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Murphy defeated Craig Kochan (Whitehorse, YK) 8-2, then won 16-4 against Jim Nix (Iqaluit, NU) and 10-1 against Eddie MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.
