Furman won 6-5 against Jamie Kraus (Duluth, MN), then won 8-4 against Ann Podoll (Fargo, ND) and 8-7 against Lacy Simko (Fairbanks, AK). Furman won 11-4 against Jill Garrity (Detroit, MI). Furman went on to lose 10-9 against Krista Longnecker (Cape Cod, MA). Furman responded with a 10-7 win over Kendal Andrews (Denver, CO). Furman won 10-5 against Sarah Walsh (San Francisco, CA) in their final qualifying round match.
