Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) qualified for the 2017 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-4 against Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE). of the 2017 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Regina, Saskatchewan;
 
Tirinzoni finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tirinzoni defeated Michelle Englot (Winnipeg, MB) 10-3, then won 7-3 against Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON). Tirinzoni went on to lose 4-2 against Hasselborg. Tirinzoni responded with a 7-1 win over Tracy Fleury (Sudbury, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Tirinzoni earned 32.783 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1, dropping 2 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 4th place overall with 471.813 total points. Tirinzoni ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 85.224 points earned so far this season.
