To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg won 6-5 over Eve Muirhead (Perth , SCO) in the semifinals of the 2017 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Regina, Saskatchewan; and won 7-4 over Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Regina, Saskatchewan;
Hasselborg finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg lost 9-3 to Michelle Englot (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 8-7 win over Tracy Fleury (Sudbury, NONT). Hasselborg won 8-4 against Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON), then won 4-2 against Tirinzoni in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1, Hasselborg take home 60.101 world rankings points along with the $15,000CDN prize, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 486.889 total points. Hasselborg ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 91.940 points earned so far this season.
