Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK) qualified for the 2017 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA). of the 2017 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Regina, Saskatchewan;

Lawton finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lawton defeated Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB) 6-5, then went on to lose 8-3 against Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB). Lawton lost 3-2 to Sinclair where Lawton responded with a 6-5 win over Amber Holland (Moose Jaw, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Lawton earned 19.763 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 52nd place overall with 68.089 total points. Lawton ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 19.763 points earned so far this season.
