9-8 to Joanne Courtney/Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 7-5 win over Nicole Westlund Stewart/Tyler Stewart (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Thompson/Sullivan won 9-2 against Kaitlyn Lawes/Ryan Fry (Winnipeg, MB), then won 8-5 against Ashley Quick/Mike Armstrong (Saskatoon, SK). Thompson/Sullivan went on to lose 9-1 against Dana Ferguson/Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB). Thompson/Sullivan lost 7-6 to Jenn Baxter/Mark Dacey (Dartmouth, NS) where Thompson/Sullivan responded with a 10-2 win over Helen Strong/Wade Scoffin (Whitehorse, YK) in their final qualifying round match.
