Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI) qualified for the 2017 Masters of Curling playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Eve Muirhead (Perth , SCO). of the 2017 Masters of Curling in Lloydminster, Alberta;

Paetz finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paetz defeated Jacqueline Harrison (Mississauga, ON) 8-6, then went on to lose 8-2 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). Paetz responded with a 9-3 win over Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON). Paetz won 7-5 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
