Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) won 6-5 over Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Masters of Curling, held October 24 - 29, 2017 in Lloydminster, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Jones won 10-4 over Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2017 Masters of Curling in Lloydminster, Alberta; and won 5-4 over Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA) in the quarterfinals.
Jones finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones defeated Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) 7-3, then won 8-2 against Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI) and 10-4 against Jacqueline Harrison (Mississauga, ON). Jones won 8-4 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Masters of Curling Championship title, Jones earned 82.053 world rankings points along with the $30,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 654.067 total points. Jones ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 256.988 points earned so far this season.
